Slovura 10 - Whole-Word Modifiers

Most compound words follow the grouping rules in Modifier Grouping. Some roots behave differently at the end of a word: they modify the entire word constructed before them.

These are whole-word modifiers.

Whole-Word Scope

A normal compound follows normal compound grouping. A final whole-word modifier X instead takes scope over everything before it:

ABCX(ABC) X

Whole-word modifiers can stack:

ABCXY((ABC) X) Y

Each modifier applies to the complete word formed before it.

List of whole-word Modifiers

-[[no]] masculine Gender
-n gender-neutral Gender
-[[te]] plural / multiple Singular and Plural
-[[po]] more / comparative Comparison
-[[ti]] all / entirety Comparison

Their special property here is their scope. At the end of a word, they apply to the whole preceding concept.

pi Can Override the Grouping

pi can explicitly change this scope.

ABCX(ABC) X

ABpiCX(A B) (C X)

The explicit grouping created by pi takes priority.
